“Is eBay still a good place to make Money?”
Hello everyone, this is going to be my first blog about ebay and how ebay is working for me and some different strategies that I use on ebay.
The first thing you should know is that while ebay has went up on their fees and such, the price is still very small compared to what you would have to spend to get the kind of traffic you get from ebay onto some other website. If you don’t believe me then you could certainly try to get the amount of traffic that ebay has everyday to a newly developed website. It would take tons of money in Google adwords and other types of marketing to even get close to the traffic you have just by affiliating yourself with ebay.
Lot’s of very successful people are still and will be using ebay for a long time at least until ebay shuts down and I don’t think that will be happening soon. People like John Thornhill and Jim Cockrum are using ebay to make some serious mula.
Ebay classifieds are also a great way to use ebay. Ebay classified are great because you can link out to your own website or affiliate links (in certain ways) and many other uses that ebay classifieds can help you with, and best of all it only cost 10 bucks a month for a TON of people that are ready to buy. Which brings me to another point, with ebay people are going to ebay with the intent to buy so you have a much better chance selling your product than with Google because most people going to Google are wanting info and it’s much harder to get them to open their wallet than it is for ebay because their wallets are already out.
Think about that for a while and I will be back for some more meaty info.
Hey Josh,
You’re so right. Look I would never tell someone to plan their whole future on e-bay alone anymore. But they bring in the hungry customers like no one else. So there is no reason to totally neglect them. I had been a powerseller for 2 years before I branched out on-line. So now I am reworking my total internet plan to include e-bay. Most likely with classifieds which right now are totally new to me.
Rob
Hello Josh,
Your site is awesome. I am still trying to figure out how to add video and pictures to my blog, but you are right, with John’s and Daniel’s help, we can conquer
I am very interested to see and find out about your product. After a long debate with myself, I decided to also go down the avenue of an internet marketer rather than a ‘health guru’ (and trust me, I know a lot about health related issues, but hey, sometimes you just have to walk away from what you feel most comfortable with, right?).
In either case, your blog is lovely and interesting. You have a beautiful wife too!
I wish you the very best, and again, I’d love to hear about your plan of action.
Many Thanks from a fellow student,
Svenja
P.S. Your footer still has the overlapped info - just in case you forgot …
Hi Josh, i think as regards the basics of how to sell on eBay will always be the same , i think the successful seller always needs to be and remain savvy as to all and how often changes are made to their selling structure !
Hi, Josh good looking blog my own has lots of eBy related posts, my area of eBay is in the health and beauty market where I have power seller status. I also sell other items from a separate identity. Just stating to do the round robin of other blogs to see the ones that most closely match mine and make a post on each. Please feel free to drop by and have a look and maybe make a comment.
Cheers
Rob
Hey Josh, love the look of the blog.
I am looking at the possibilities of using eBay classifieds for a few things, just haven’t gotten there…will be watching for updates.
Thanks for the info.
